It’s with a saddened heart that the Richardson Area Young Life staff announce The Upscale Garage Sales final day was May 7th, 2023. 

The Upscale Garage Sale had its humble beginning in the early 2000’s on a small driveway across the street from Berkner High School. For the past twenty years, the Upscale Garage Sale has watched Young Life leaders and their high school friends pick up and deliver furniture items, climb up mountains of clothing, and stage the the mess to look inviting. We had high schoolers flagging down unsuspecting drivers, welcoming guests at the door and committee members “bargaining” with customers! Don’t forget the feral cats making a home in storage containers, and committee members repainting a 12,000 sq ft warehouse ….because “yellow just isn’t a vibe”. Best of all, the Upscale Garage Sale sent countless kids to camp so they could experience the best week of their lives.

The Richardson Area Young Life staff feels strongly that without your help we would not have been able to provide every kid the opportunity to go to Young Life camp. Over the years your generous support of the Upscale Garage Sale created a lasting legacy. So, let’s raise our glasses in honor of 20+ years of faithful ministry. Rest In peace you magnificent fundraiser.
